Voronezh bobsledder became the winner of the junior championship of Russia

The Russian junior bobsleigh championship was held in Sochi. The strongest pilots and accelerating countries under the age of 24, including Voronezh, took part in the competition.
According to the results of the tournament, the Voronezh athlete Sofia Stepushkina in a monobob finished second, winning the silver medal of the prestigious tournament. As the head coach of the Voronezh region team Boris Ruzin noted, the 18-year-old athlete is a real fighter who progresses with each new start.
– A monobob is a low-control projectile, even adults and experienced athletes in the world can hardly cope with it, – says Boris Ruzin, head coach of the Voronezh region bobsleigh team. – Sophia is a young, promising athlete who still has very little piloting experience. In both races, she showed the best start, but there are questions about piloting. We must work further. I think the result is worthy. The next start is the Youth Spartakiad on February 22-28 in Krasnaya Polyana, Krasnodar Territory.
Recall that in February, the girl won the bronze medal of the championship of Russia among athletes under 19 on the bobsleigh track in Sochi.
