Voronezh and Rostov regions want to unite with the LDNR in the community “Donbass”

The Voronezh and Rostov regions, as well as the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics, will be united into the Donbass community. about this in his Telegram channel reported the department of economic development of the Voronezh region. The department clarified that the presidium of the government of the Voronezh region approved the draft agreement on combining the industrial, scientific, educational, cultural and tourism potentials of the regions.

The head of the department, Danil Kustov, said that the purpose of signing the document is “to revive the historically established ties between the four neighboring regions, further develop cooperation between them in a wide range of areas, as well as accelerate the process of integrating the DPR and LPR into the economic, political and legal space of the Russian Federation.” The regions will interact in trade, economic and investment, as well as in scientific, cultural, sports, medical and other fields.

According to the Department of Economic Development, the agreement will contribute to “strengthening friendship and good neighborliness” between residents of the participating regions. It is planned to sign the document on the creation of the community “Donbass” at the end of August this year – during the celebrations on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Rostov region from the Nazi invaders.

At the beginning of summer, Rostov Governor Vasily Golubev spoke with a proposal to create a macro-region “Donbass”. In 2011, the Rostov region, together with the Luhansk and Donetsk regions of Ukraine, created an international association, the Euroregion “Donbass”, into which in 2014 entered and the Voronezh region. The association later ceased to exist.
