The state of health in a significant number of cases will be determined by the results of a simple preventive medical examination in the manner established by the law “On the fundamentals of protecting the health of citizens in the Russian Federation.”
But for volunteers who plan to assist in protecting the population and territories from emergencies, ensuring fire safety and the safety of people on the waters, different rules will apply. One of the mandatory requirements for the certification of citizens acquiring the status of a rescuer is to undergo a medical examination and psychiatric examination to determine their suitability for performing emergency rescue work. This rule will also apply to participants in volunteer organizations planning to engage in such responsible work.
