Two volunteers Evgeny (call sign “Gusar”) and Yulia (Bereza) got married right in the special operation zone. The ceremony was held without frills, without affecting the process of performing combat missions. Correspondent aif.ru met with the newlyweds on the front line and learned the details of the romantic history of the beloved.
As Yulia noted, she and her husband are volunteers who came to the regiment with a difference of only 2 days. Evgeny himself is from Murmansk, he is responsible for the medical service in the regiment, Yulia is a Muscovite and ended up in the NVO zone as a radiotelephonist orderly.
When asked how the young people became interested in each other, the military replied that she and her husband were “very similar”: “Both left their comfortable life at home and went to defend the country.”
According to the newly-made husband, the marriage ceremony in military conditions was quite modest, without interruption from combat missions. In the registry office, Gusar recalls, we went to the UAZ-“loaf”.
The military also said that with their decision, the volunteers set an example for others and several more ceremonies took place after their wedding. At the same time, Gusar emphasized, the spouses did not even take leave, continuing to carry out military service.
