Vologda residents brought medals from the World Polyathlon Championships

In the city of Sasovo, Ryazan region, the championship and world championship in polytalon took place. The competition started at the end of September and ended at the beginning of October. The Vologda region was represented by athletes from Vologda, Cherepovets, Kaduy and Sokol.
Irina Smolina performed best of all Vologda athletes at the championship. The girl competed in running, strength gymnastics and shooting. Thus, the athlete did 160 push-ups in four minutes, scored 94 points out of 100 in shooting, and ran one kilometer in 3 minutes 34 seconds 6 milliseconds. As a result, the Vologda resident took second place. Irina Smolina also took part in triathlon and roller skiing. The Vologda athlete had no equal in this discipline. The girl took the gold.
In the world championship in eventing with running, Taisiya Kalinina took first place, Andrey Chursanov took second, and Karina Shagicheva took third. In triathlon with roller skiing, Taisiya Kalinina and Andrey Chursanov won gold.
We would like to add that athletes from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Mauritania, Cuba and Yemen also took part in the competition.
