Vologda “Chevakata” snatched victory from “UMMC-Junior” in the first game of the quarterfinals

The day before, on March 28, Vologda hosted the first match of the quarterfinals of the Women’s Basketball Superleague. At the home site “Chevakata – Vologda” hosted athletes “UMMC-Junior” from Yekaterinburg. The meeting turned out to be very tense, but the Vologda “bees” managed to snatch the victory. The score of the game is 56:54.

So, the first half of the match passed with a slight advantage of the guests – in 20 minutes they broke away from the Vologda team by four points. Then the game was about equal, but in the last quarter the women from Yekaterinburg managed to increase their lead to ten points.

Chevakata did not plan to give up, and thanks to the successful implementation of several three-point shots, they caught up with their rivals. The final of the match was another successful hit of the yellow-blues from under the shield.

Let’s add that in order to get to the semi-finals, the Vologda basketball players need to win a second victory over UMMC-Junior, but already on their site. The meeting will take place on April 1st. If the opponents win, the third decisive match will take place.
