Volodin urged deputies to discuss the special operation behind closed doors

State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin said that deputies should discuss the details of the special operation in Ukraine behind closed doors. According to him, during the discussion of the military operation, it is necessary to take care of Russia’s security. He noted that in the current situation it is necessary to follow certain rules before publicly discussing the details of the special operation.

“I earnestly ask, and the leaders of the factions, that we either go to a closed meeting and, within the framework of this procedure, discuss what we need. Or we thought that we ourselves could involuntarily or voluntarily cause harm. Colleagues, let’s think about our guys, but most importantly, about the security of our country,” Mr. Volodin said at a meeting of the State Duma (quoted by TASS).

Earlier, a number of politicians spoke about mobilization in Russia. September 12, State Duma deputy from the United Russia party Mikhail Sheremet declared about the need to announce a general mobilization to achieve the goals of a special operation in Ukraine. September 13, Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov urged to the maximum mobilization of forces and resources and the cohesion of society. Later party spokesman Alexander Yushchenko explainedthat Mr. Zyuganov meant “the mobilization of the country’s economy, political system and resources.”
