Volodin spoke about the importance of Ukraine’s neutral status

Ukraine must have a neutral status for the peace of Russia, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said on the eve of the first meeting of the Youth Parliament.

“It is important for us that Ukraine is a neutral state, and you and I can feel calm. We need to do everything to ensure a speedy victory. Victory will bring peace to Ukrainian land,” he said (quote according to RIA Novosti).

According to him, Russia “is not at war with Ukraine, but with NATO,” the alliance advanced into Ukraine, “reached almost our borders, and did not want to give security guarantees.”

“Ukrainians today are just consumables for them. Therefore, it is important and, if you like, fateful for us that all the tasks set there are solved in Ukraine,” Volodin said. In addition, according to the speaker, Russian society needs a “cult of defense of the fatherland.”

In January, Volodin called Russia’s special operation in Ukraine “liberation for the citizens of Ukraine and Slavic lands from American colonialists.” Then he also called Ukrainian citizens “expendable material” for the United States and NATO.

In the summer, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev statedthat the special operation will be completed in a few days if Western countries stop supplying weapons and equipment to Ukraine. Medvedev noted that any war can be ended very quickly – either by signing a peace treaty or by using nuclear weapons, as the United States did in 1945, when “they bombed two Japanese cities.”
