Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin paid a working visit to the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), and also met with the head of the republic Denis Pushilin, informs press service of the State Duma.
The delegation, in addition to Volodin, included the chairmen of the Duma committees: for construction and housing and communal services – Sergey Pakhomov, for transport – Evgeny Moskvichev, for security – Vasily Piskarev, the first deputy chairman of the defense committee Andrey Krasov and others.
“We need to form a single legal space in various areas – education, healthcare, transport, housing and communal services. To do this, we organized the interaction of relevant committees with our colleagues from the People’s Council – a delegation of the DPR parliament visited the State Duma in July,” Volodin noted, adding that now more than 70 State Duma deputies from different factions are constantly working in Donbass.
In the middle of July Volodin visited on a working visit to the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR). That time the delegation also included heads of committees.
On August 11, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev for the first time since the outbreak of hostilities visited Donbass. He arrived in the LPR, where he met with the local head Leonid Pasechnik and Pushilin. Medvedev, on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, held a meeting in the region on priority measures to ensure the security of the republics of Donbass.
