Volodin called for reconsidering prices for servicing gas equipment

State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin said that prices for servicing gas equipment in residential buildings need to be reconsidered due to the rise in cost of such services in some regions. The Lower House of Parliament adopted an appeal to the Ministry of Construction on the validity of pricing guidelines in this area.

As the Chairman of the State Duma explained, the monthly cost of indoor gas equipment has increased by 1.5-3.3 times, and that of indoor gas equipment has increased by 2.3 times. According to him, in some regions, prices for services from one company are twice as high as from another. The speaker cited the introduction of new methodological recommendations by the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services at the beginning of 2023 as the reason for the price increase.

“The formula for calculating fees for services turned out to be “rubber” in nature, that is, it includes all possible expenses of the service organization… This methodology made it possible to inflate the cost of the services provided. This led to abuses by individual companies in a number of regions,” wrote Vyacheslav Volodin in Telegram channel.

Appeal The State Duma adopted the State Duma yesterday, April 11, to the Ministry of Construction and Minister Irek Faizullin on the validity of methodological guidelines on pricing fees for servicing gas equipment. It was initiated by the parliamentary committee on information policy.
