“Russians should ask with Murashko”

The deputies of the lower house of parliament were concerned about the problem of gender reassignment. At a regular meeting of the Council of the Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin raised the issue of the unacceptability of the simplified procedure for changing sex in the Russian Federation for conscripts fleeing mobilization and military service.

– According to the speaker of the Duma, the special operation in Ukraine forced many young people to turn to private clinics for gender reassignment in order to avoid being drafted. At the same time, the registry offices, according to Volodin, very easily and quickly register the marriages of transgender people who intentionally change their gender in order to evade the special operation. The speaker relied on the data of the Ministry of Internal Affairs: last year alone, 3,000 marriages with transgender people were registered, our source said following the next meeting of the Duma Council.

At the same time, Volodin gave a special role in promoting the transgender theme to Minister of Health Murashko. It was at his suggestion, the speaker said, that Russia ratified the relevant protocol at the WHO and, according to Volodin, the Russians should ask Murashko for doing this without prior discussion, agreement, and generally contrary to Russian legislation and mentality.

Help “MK”: In 2020, in connection with the “sex change”, passport offices issued 428 passports, in 2021 – 554 passports, and in 2022 – 936 passports. The leaders in changing the gender marker were Moscow with the Moscow region and St. Petersburg with the Leningrad region.
