Volodin announced the indexation of social pensions in April by 7.5%
Social pensions will be indexed by 7.5% in April of this year. The increase in payments will affect 4.1 million people. Chairman of the State Duma of Russia Vyacheslav Volodin stated this in his telegram channel.
He noted that indexation will affect social pensions for old age, disability and loss of a breadwinner.
Volodin also recalled that in January old-age insurance pensions were increased by 7.5%.
Earlier, State Duma deputy, member of the lower house of parliament committee on labor, social policy and veterans’ affairs Svetlana Bessarab said about upcoming changes in pension payments. In particular, it is planned to remove the three-point barrier for working pensioners, and for each year worked after retirement, an increase in the fixed payment to the old-age insurance pension will be provided.
