Volodin announced Poland’s desire to “return” its territories in Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is leading the process of “Polishing” the country, Poland wants to “return” the Eastern Kresy, which includes the territory of Western Ukraine, said Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin in his Telegram channel.

“According to their ideology, hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians must die at the front (for this, more and more weapons are being supplied to the Kyiv regime), and the rest must lose their national identity. To solve this problem, the imperial ambitions of Poland are being used,” wrote He.

The speaker of the State Duma pointed to the decisions of President Zelensky, which became a “huge tragedy” for Ukrainian citizens. In particular, we are talking about a law that “virtually equates Poles to Ukrainians”: it gives them the right to stay in the country without work permits, training, medical care, and a number of payments. In addition, according to Volodin, in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions, “Ukrainians are being kicked out of their homes, trying to replace them with Polish settlers loyal to the Nazis.” The Polish language is being imposed in the country, it was included in the list of exams for universities, and Ukrainians are being converted to Catholicism, he added. Zelensky is leading the process of “Polishing” the country in the hope of staying in power longer, Volodin believes.

“Against this background, a 25,000-strong military formation has been created, consisting mainly of Polish and Lithuanian armed soldiers, ready to occupy Western Ukraine. The Poles want to regain what they believe is their historical lands – Eastern Kresy. They don’t need citizens of Ukraine in these territories,” the speaker of the State Duma concluded.

Former Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed director of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Sergei Naryshkin to track Poland’s plans for Ukraine. During a meeting with permanent members of the Security Council, Naryshkin said that the leadership of Poland was intensifying its mood to impose control over the western territories of Ukraine. According to him, this can be framed as “the fulfillment of allied obligations within the framework of the Polish-Lithuanian-Ukrainian initiative in the field of security – this is the so-called Lublin Triangle.” Naryshkin said that such “dangerous plans” of Warsaw should be closely monitored.

Putin noted that a regular military formation is being created, which can then be used for the “subsequent occupation of territories” in western Ukraine. He stressed that the western territories of today’s Poland are “a gift from Stalin to the Poles.”
