“Volna” beat “Forte” in a control match

The players of Nizhny Novgorod “Volna” continue to prepare for the start of the 2024 season in Group No. 4 of the Second League “B”. The team from the Nizhny Novgorod region has regained its professional status and after 1.5 seasons is again preparing to play at the All-Russian. “Volna” has been training for a long time under the leadership of Oleg Makeev and Sergei Mukhotin. Experienced specialists are preparing young players for a difficult season in the Second League, working at the southern training camp. On March 5, Volna players played their third control match over the past week.

This time, the Volna players faced a more serious opponent than the youth team of the Mir-RPL club. In the final match of the training camp, Oleg Makeev’s team met with FC Forte from Taganrog and won a sensational victory in many ways. There was no live broadcast from the match, but from the text version it was clear that “Forte” played with an advantage, threatening the opponent’s goal much more often than “Volna”. The club from Taganrog had a large number of chances to score, but Ivan Migunov played an excellent match, keeping a clean sheet. In the second half, Zabrodin scored a goal, which became the winning goal. “Volna” showed an excellent and disciplined defensive game. Thus, the final whistle sealed the victory of “Volna” with a score of 1:0.
