Volleyball players of “Sparta” retained their residence permit in the elite division

Volleyball players from Nizhny Novgorod “Sparta” were able to keep their place in the Russian Volleyball Championship among women’s Super League teams for the next season. Wards of Slobodan Radivojevic were able to do this following the results of the play-out matches that took place from 21 to 23 April in Nizhny Tagil.
Nizhny Novgorod volleyball players were able to win two victories in three matches that took place as part of the play-out. In the first match of the tournament for the preservation of residence in the elite of Russian volleyball “Sparta” with a score of 1:3 lost to the team “Zarechie-Odintsovo”. In the second match, “Sparta” won, being stronger than “Uralochka” in three games. In the last play-out match in Nizhny Tagil, Sparta defeated Lipetsk, the main outsider of the regular season.
Thus, the volleyball players of Sparta Nizhny Novgorod took 12th place in the Super League at the end of the 2022-2023 season and retained their registration in the elite division of Russian women’s volleyball.
