Volleyball players from Stavropol distinguished themselves at the All-Russian tournament

The Stavropol women’s volleyball team won bronze medals at the All-Russian Champions League tournament. It took place the day before in the village of Shepsi in the Kuban. As the press service of the administration of the regional center said, more than 130 athletes from all over the country took part in the competition dedicated to the centenary of Russian volleyball. These are 13 and 14-year-old girls from St. Petersburg, Lipetsk, Tver, Elista, Kursk, Svetlograd, Belgorod region and Perm region.
“The girls from Tver won the tournament, the team from St. Petersburg received silver,” the mayor’s office added. “Stavropol was represented by students from municipal sports school No. 1, coached by Valeria Krotko.”
The head of Stavropol, Ivan Ulyanchenko, congratulated the athletes and their coach on their winning place and wished the girls further success. Let us recall that it was previously reported that world champion in combat sambo Ivan Emelianenko these days preparing for battle in Kislovodsk.
