Volgograd “Rotor” beat “Chernomorets” with a score of 2:1

At the stadium “Volgograd Arena” ended the match between the teams “Rotor” and “Chernomorets” in the third round of the second stage of the Russian Football Championship among the teams of the Second League. Rotor won with a score of 2:1.

In the 30th minute, Ilya Safronov opened the scoring. At the 37th minute, Rizvan Umarov doubled the advantage of the Volgograd team. Dmitry Prischepa perfectly intercepted a diagonal pass at a distance of about 60 meters and accurately delivered the ball to Rizvan, who, in a jump, hit towards Frolkin’s goal. The Chornomorets goalkeeper reacted to the kick, but the ball went under him and ended up in the net.

In the second half “Chernomorets” started the game very actively and in the 52nd minute was able to reduce the gap in the score. Anton Antonov sent the ball into the corner of the “blue-and-blue” goal, Sergei Samok reacted to the kick, but unsuccessfully reflected the ball, which was finished off into the net by Stepan Kostyukov.

The Volgograd team had a great fight, defeating the Novorossiysk club in a very important match for themselves. Rotor still has a small chance of reaching the First League. They are currently in second place in the standings.
