Nine years ago, a virtual operator, a voice assistant, appeared in the system of the citywide contact center in Moscow. During his work, he answered more than 100 million calls from citizens.
The introduction of artificial intelligence into the system of reference and dispatch services of the city made it possible to more quickly respond to incoming calls and reduce the waiting time for a response, according to the official website of the Moscow Mayor.
Today, the virtual assistant is versed in 432 topics and works on 11 citywide contact center lines. He can suggest the address and telephone number of the necessary institution and tell you how to get there. You can find out from him when the hot water will be turned off in the house or whether the documents submitted for registration are ready and where to pick them up. Also, the voice assistant takes meter readings, suggests the contacts of the management company at the address of the subscriber, helps to find the evacuated car and explains how to pick it up, and much more.
To find the necessary information, artificial intelligence needs a few seconds. So with a properly formulated request, you can get the necessary information quite quickly. At the same time, the voice assistant also understands colloquial vocabulary, including the words “payment”, “car” or “wheelbarrow”.
As assured in the Department of Information Technologies of Moscow, the voice assistant is constantly being improved, including on the basis of requests from Muscovites. However, there are still questions that he cannot answer. In this case, the subscriber is switched to a live operator.
The most robotic today is the hotline for transferring water meter readings: (495) 539-25-25. Artificial intelligence successfully handles 99% of incoming calls. In addition, voice assistants answer calls in the unified information service of the Moscow government: (495) 777-77-77, technical support of the mos.ru portal: (495) 539-55-55, unified dispatch center: (495) 539-53- 53, contact center “Moscow Transport”: (495) 539-54-54 – and the Moscow Center for Tourist Information Support: (495) 122-01-11.
