On Friday, November 25, Rosaviatsia once again extended restrictions on flights to airports in southern Russia until December 3. The flight ban has been in effect since the beginning of the special operation in Ukraine. War correspondent Alexander Sladkov decided name two reasons why civil aircraft cannot fly to the southern part of the country.
“Ukrainian terrorist and sabotage danger (carrying MANPADS into the takeoff and landing zone with its use on a civil aircraft, or laying explosives on an airplane before takeoff),” Sladkov voiced the first reason in his Telegram channel.
The second reason for the ban on flights, according to the military correspondent, is “prevention of hits by Russian air defense systems” on Russian aircraft.
The military commander himself noted that this was his personal opinion, referring to the “lack of reports of incidents.”
