Vodnik won in Krasnoyarsk

On December 16, Vodnik played its final away match of the year. In Krasnoyarsk he met with the local Yenisei. This was reported by the Ministry of Sports of the Arkhangelsk Region.

For more than 20 years, this confrontation has been one of the most iconic in Russian bandy. If the Siberians prevailed over Dynamo Moscow in the previous round, then the Arkhangelsk team lost to Kemerovo “Kuzbass” and were determined to prove that it was an accident.

The northerners started the next round of confrontation with Yenisei very confidently, but for a long time they were unable to translate this into scoring goals. In this situation, the captain of the yellow-greens, Evgeniy Dergaev, performed best, walking across the entire field and only being stopped by an illegal move in the hosts’ penalty area. The main referee of the match, Dmitry Anikin, immediately awarded a penalty. Danila Kuzmin’s shot from the 12-meter mark, Yenisei goalkeeper Artem Prokhorov turned the ball into a corner. Already after his play, Alexander Legoshin turned out to be the quickest of all, who immediately sent the ball into the goal – 1:0. Following this, Mikhail Sergeev brought Pavel Dubovik into the shooting position, and he, while falling, managed to send the ball into the goal. Later, “Vodnik” was again successful when he played a corner kick. Kirill Orlov was accurate after delivering the ball from the corner flag. A few minutes before the break, Arseny Kozlov took advantage of the Krasnoyarsk team’s mistake. The Krasnoyarsk team was able to answer this only once – 4:1.

In the second half of the meeting, the game took place with the game and territorial advantage of the Vodniks. Only a few minutes before the final whistle, the accumulated fatigue of the guests led to the fact that the Yenisei hockey players were able to reduce the yellow-green advantage in the score to a minimum – 4:3.

Tomorrow Vodnik will return to Arkhangelsk, where on December 20 they will host Murman on the ice of the Trud stadium. Starts at 19:00.
