Vnukovo airport reopened for planes after UAV attack on Moscow

According to information received from aviation services, the airspace of the Moscow Aviation Hub is again open to aircraft. Vnukovo Airport has resumed its work after a temporary closure due to a downed drone in the center of Moscow.
According to Yandex Timetables, 26 flights were delayed at 05:04, eight flights were cancelled. 14 flights were delayed at Vnukovo airport, seven flights were cancelled. Five flights were delayed at Domodedovo Airport, one flight was cancelled. Seven flights were delayed at Sheremetyevo Airport.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that at night the air defense forces (Air Defense) destroyed a drone, the wreckage of which fell in the Expocentre area. As a result of the incident, the wall of one of the pavilions partially collapsed. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation blamed Ukraine for the incident.
