Rowing competitions among professional and amateur teams were held on September 9 in Novik Bay near Russiy Island. Athletes from Russia, China, Uzbekistan and Belarus took part in them. According to the organizers, this is the first time Vladivostok has hosted races of this level.

The competition was organized by the Russian Rowing Federation, the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, and Norilsk Nickel became the title sponsor of the regatta.

On the day of the sports festival, visitors could not only watch the races of rowers, but also take part in relay races, competitions and master classes. Many who wanted to try their hand at rowing on land were attracted by indoor rowing simulators, specially installed on the territory of the races. Children were entertained by life-size puppets and animators, a food court with Far Eastern delicacies and a photo zone worked, and after the solemn awarding of the winners, a concert took place.
