Vladislav Ovchinsky: the capital manufacturer will release lightweight medical beds

Lightweight medical beds with a plastic bed will be produced in Moscow. Previously, such furniture on the domestic market was represented mainly by Chinese manufacturers.

“Moscow manufacturers of medical equipment are actively working to expand their range, creating products that meet the needs of the market. Thus, the metropolitan enterprise is starting to produce functional medical beds with a plastic bed, which were previously represented on the Russian market mainly by Chinese manufacturers,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Investment and Industrial Policy Department.

The Head of the Department added that the Moscow company plans to produce about 5,000 items this year.

The main plus of the new bed is lighter weight. At the same time, its strength characteristics do not suffer. The material is well washed with disinfectants, it is resistant to the chemical attack of alkalis, acids, chlorine-releasing reagents, as well as to scratches.

According to the commercial director of the company Alex Petrov, for 10 years of work in the medical field, the range of medical equipment has expanded several times. Production volumes were increased, new sales channels appeared. In addition to new medical beds, the capital’s production facility produces medical tables, cabinets, couches for transporting patients, sterilizers, thermostats, and much more.
