Vladislav Ovchinsky: photo exhibitions introduced Muscovites to the industry of the city

Nearly 90 plants and factories took part in photo exhibitions on the streets of the city. Muscovites were able to see 9 expositions last year, where they got acquainted with various areas of the capital’s industry as part of the Open#Mosprom project.

“Since 2019, we have been holding photo expositions dedicated to the work and history of the development of the capital’s industry on the central streets of the city. In 2022, for the first time, we organized exhibitions in parks, squares and even in the metro. This format allows a huge number of people to get acquainted with the life and achievements of specialists who are behind modern developments and production of daily consumer goods, as well as high-tech products. During the existence of the project, 29 photo exhibitions were organized, in which more than 200 capital factories and plants took part. For example, in 2022, 87 industrial enterprises became part of this action,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.

For example, at the “Everything to the Shop” exhibition, one could learn about the work of engineers, foremen, mechanics and athletes. The photographs of “Open Mosprom Art” introduced Muscovites to the history of industry through the prism of art. And the exhibition “Moscow enterprises – to the stars!” spoke about the involvement of the capital’s industrialists in the launch of the first artificial Earth satellite. According to the organizers, in 2022 about 800 thousand people got acquainted with the expositions.
