The Moscow manufacturer Moskabelmet, which is one of the Russian backbone enterprises, will turn 128 on June 16. The company specializes in the manufacture of cable and wire products. In the last five years alone, it has produced more than 200 thousand kilometers of products.
“Moskabelmet is one of the oldest manufacturers in Moscow. Its history began in 1895, and in 2023 it will be 128 years old. Today, the company unites five factories, testing laboratories, trade and service enterprises,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Capital Investment and Industrial Policy Department.
He added that over the past five years, the oldest industrial complex has directed 2.5 billion rubles of investments in the modernization of equipment, as well as in the development of infrastructure. About 2,000 people work at the company’s sites. The assortment of the enterprise includes optical, power, control cables, as well as copper wires and wire rods.
According to the CEO of the group of companies Pavel Moryakov, due to the approach to the modernization of sites, the company was actively introducing digital technologies into its work. This helped expand production capacity and improve economic performance. For example, at the end of 2022, the net profit of the Moskabel Plant, which is part of the Group of Companies, amounted to 515 million rubles. This is 43% more than in 2021. The turnover of the entire group for 2022 exceeded 39 billion rubles.
