Vladislav Ovchinsky: in Moscow began to produce water filters from domestic materials

The capital launched the production of water filters made entirely of domestic materials. The company “Montem” began to produce disk devices that are designed for post-treatment of industrial and urban waters.

“More than 200 enterprises operate in the light industry of the city, some of them are engaged in the production of non-woven materials, which are most often used in construction, water supply, oil and gas and chemical industries, as well as for sewing clothes and shoes. The departure of foreign partners requires the search for new solutions in the domestic market. Thus, the Moscow manufacturer of non-woven materials “Montem” launched into mass production filters for wastewater treatment, made entirely of domestic components. It is planned that more than a thousand units of such products will be produced annually. The development has already been tested at domestic enterprises in various industries,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Moscow Investment and Industrial Policy Department.

The principle of operation of disc filters is simple, reliable and efficient: liquid enters the interior of the filter segment, passes through the fabric, and small particles of contaminants remain inside the filter. According to the developers, devices with a filtration degree of 200 microns provide a reduction in suspended minerals up to 90%, and reduce the amount of organic impurities by 20%.
