A paint and varnish manufacturer based in Moscow increased its production capacity by several times in 2022.
“For 10 months of 2022, 14.4% more paints, varnishes and other coating materials were produced in Moscow compared to 2021. This growth is facilitated by the increasing demand not only for domestic use, but also in industry. For example, the metropolitan enterprise “Poly-R” initially produced several tons of paint and varnish products per week. During the year, the increase in capacity made it possible to produce a ton of products in just one work shift. The manufacturer plans to launch additional lines, as well as expand the range of primers, varnishes and enamels,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Moscow Investment and Industrial Policy Department.
He added that by the end of 2021, the company began to independently develop the compositions of paints, varnishes and other materials. Most of the company produces water-based paints. Such materials do not have a strong odor and can be used in medical institutions, kindergartens and schools. All samples are carefully controlled, after which the paint is poured into packages and sent to store shelves. Now the company plans to produce a wax oil for wood with a particularly durable waterproof coating and without solvent content.
