Vladislav Ovchinsky announced an increase in the production of tents in Moscow

The metropolitan manufacturer BASK has produced more than a thousand tents for the summer season. Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Moscow Investment and Industrial Policy Department, spoke about this in more detail. He noted that more than 20% of the company’s product line for tourism and outdoor activities is occupied by tents and spoke about new products.

“By the summer season of 2023, the manufacturer has produced more than a thousand units of this product, which is several times more compared to the same period last year. So, the enterprise launched an updated version of equipment – a light tent weighing up to two kilograms,” Vladislav Ovchinsky noted.

A new tent in the minimum configuration weighs 1.9 kg, in full – up to 2.2 kg. The first few hundred copies are already available to customers in the company’s online store, in more than 250 dealer stores, as well as in large retail chains.

“Our ultra-light novelty is a modified version of the popular Bask Shark Fin line, which the company has developed and produced since 2002. It was possible to lighten the weight due to the rejection of the windproof skirt, and to supplement the usable area thanks to the increased vestibules. The tent is designed to accommodate two people,” said Vladimir Bogdanov, General Director of the company.

The company also produces modular tents for up to 12 people. This is a warm tent for the conditions of the Arctic and a three-season tent for the taiga, tundra and the summer Arctic.
