A portable ultrasound machine was presented at the forum “Health of the Nation – the Basis for Russia’s Prosperity”. A resident of the SEZ “Technopolis Moscow” has created expert-class medical equipment, which is located in a special impact-resistant suitcase.
“Moscow enterprises produce a wide range of medical devices, from pulse oximeters to ventilators. Among them is the Scaner research and production association, which received the status of a Moscow SEZ resident in 2022,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Investment and Industrial Policy Department.
He said that by the end of 2022, the company had produced about 700 ultrasound machines. In the future, the resident plans to increase production to 2,000 devices per year. All devices are equipped with Russian software, they are universal. They are used for high-precision diagnostics in various fields of medicine: cardiology, oncology, pediatrics, traumatology and other industries.
According to Gennady Degtev, Director General of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ, the company has localized production on an area of almost 600 sq. meters at the Printers site. Among its innovative developments is a portable device the size of a laptop. A shock-resistant suitcase-case has been created for him. The device allows ultrasound to be carried out in mobile hospitals, ambulances and other places. The first batches of ultrasound devices are planned to be released in June this year.
