Vladislav Ovchinsky: a Moscow company has launched the production of pipes based on 97% of domestic components

The Moscow Polyplastic Group invested more than 200 million rubles in the launch of pipe production. Import-substituting products have high impact strength, resistance to scratches and cuts, as well as to the effects of chemicals.
“A favorable climate for the development of manufacturing business in Moscow stimulates local enterprises to create new sites, expand existing ones, and increase investment in scientific activities,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.
He added that the companies are solving the problems of ensuring technological sovereignty, modernizing the domestic industrial infrastructure and creating new jobs. Ovchinsky cited the example of a metropolitan manufacturer who organized the production of new import-substituting PVC-O pipes of his own design. They are based on 97% of domestic components. Such products have a number of advantageous characteristics: high wear resistance and impact strength, resistance to cuts, scratches, and chemically active substances. The company’s investments in the creation of new production exceeded 200 million rubles.
Two new lines with a total production capacity of more than 500 kilometers per year have been launched at the enterprise. The launch of a new production facility is an important event not only for the pipe industry, but for the entire domestic industrial sector.
