Vladimir Solovyov was elected head of the UJR for a second term

Journalist Vladimir Solovyov won the election to the post of chairman of the Union of Journalists of Russia (UJR). This is his second term in office. He was the only candidate for the position.
The candidacy of Vladimir Solovyov was unanimously supported by all the participants of the XIII Congress of the UJR in Moscow. The congress was attended by about 300 delegates of the regional branches of the UJR, notes Interfax.
For the first time, Vladimir Solovyov was elected chairman of the UJR in November 2017.
Vladimir Solovyov was born in 1964 in Noginsk. In 1990 he graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University, after his studies he worked on television. During his career, he worked in the “Kremlin pool”, covered seven military conflicts. In 2012–2017, he served as the chief producer of the documentary film service of the Rossiya TV channel. Now he works as an adviser to the general director of the State Television Company Rossiya TV channel.
