President Vladimir Putin may visit the Senezh management workshop on September 1. This was reported to Vedomosti by two interlocutors close to the presidential administration. When asked if Putin plans to visit Senezh on September 1, Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov replied: “We will inform you in a timely manner.”

This will be the first visit by a head of state to the Senezh management workshop, which has been operating since 2019, the educational center of the Russia – Land of Opportunity (RSV) platform, which was created by Putin’s decree. Its work is supervised by the internal political bloc of the presidential administration. Senezh is located near Solnechnogorsk near Moscow. Senezh hosts youth forums and seminars for officials of various levels. And among the projects of the workshop itself are “Woman-Leader”, “New Media Workshop”, etc.

In the first days of September, the youth forum “Territory of Meanings” will be completed in Senezh. In total, the forum had eight shifts, which were called “Think”, “Convince”, “Help”, “Create”, “Serve”, “Teach”, “Discover”, “Act”. It has been running since the end of July. The “Act” shift that Putin will find will be dedicated to “shaping the future of the country”, as the forum website says, and the best participants of all shifts will be invited to participate. This year, the forum was held for the first time, including in the new buildings of Senezh.

RSV and its projects are engaged in the training and retraining of personnel. When it comes to managers, education all over the world is organized in a similar way, says political scientist Konstantin Kostin: “They should regularly receive new knowledge and skills within their specialty, get acquainted with the latest and most effective practices. This is important both for career growth and for positioning in the professional community.

In Russia, Senezh is engaged in the system of training and retraining of specialists. In areas important for public administration at all levels, from local to federal.”

At a meeting of the Supervisory Council of the RSV, which is headed by the president, on July 19, the rector of Senezh, Andrey Betin, told Putin that their “big team has a dream”: “So that you, Vladimir Vladimirovich, spend the Day of Knowledge this year in Senezh. Let me invite you to the new campus of the “Management Workshop” on September 1.” The President then said that he would mean the invitation: “I want to visit you, especially since Senezh, as I understand it, began to work on a permanent basis, all year round, and this is very important, because it creates an opportunity for rhythmic work.

In 2021, the construction of new buildings began in Senezh, which this year are already being used for various events. The construction of the main building, which was called “Agora”, is almost completed. After completion of all works, the area of ​​the center will occupy about 85 hectares and will be able to accommodate more than 2,500 people. In October 2022, Vedomosti wrote that in the budget for 2023-2025. increased allocations by more than 2.5 billion rubles. for the construction of “Senezh”. On the website of the Titan-2 concern, which is building a new educational center, it was said that five functional zones would be located there: the northern campus, the southern campus with the main buildings, the embankment, the open-air area, the forest park area with pavilions.

In addition, it is from Senezh that the head of state can take part in the launch of the construction of Russian-language schools in Kyrgyzstan via videoconferencing, as Vedomosti wrote on August 23. It is planned that Putin will participate in the opening ceremony of schools together with his counterpart from Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov. In early June, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan Ulanbek Usekov spoke about the start of construction in 2023 of nine Russian-language schools in all regions of Kyrgyzstan.

Joint events with colleagues from the CIS on September 1 are partly part of the tradition. In 2022, Putin, together with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, on September 1, via videoconference, participated in the opening ceremony of five general education schools with instruction in Russian in Tajikistan. The president’s visit to the Senezh workshop is intended to confirm the growing importance of this organization for training personnel in Russia, political scientist Rostislav Turovsky believes: “I would consider this as a political signal and as recognition of the merits of the workshop.”
