Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking at a concert in honor of the anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Stalingrad, commented on the supply of Western equipment to Ukraine. He drew a parallel with the events of eighty years ago and noted that Russia was again threatened by German tanks.
“Those who expect to defeat Russia on the battlefield apparently do not understand that a modern war with Russia will be completely different for them. We do not send our tanks to their border. We have something to answer. And the use of armored vehicles will not end the matter. Everyone should understand this,” the president said.
Vladimir Putin said that Russia is once again forced to repulse the aggression of the collective West. “Unbelievable, but true: we are again being threatened by German Leopard tanks with crosses on board,” he said. At the same time, the president noted that Russia still has many friends around the world, including in North America and Europe.
