Vladimir Putin spoke about the areas of military-technical cooperation between Russia

Russia is ready to offer its allies and partners weapons, from small arms to armored vehicles, artillery, aircraft and drones, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the opening of the Army-2022 international military-technical forum in the Moscow region.

Before that, the president expressed gratitude to the “Russian gunsmiths” for “equipping the army and navy with modern weapons, which today work for victory, for the technological and industrial development of the whole country.” Putin notedthat Russia stands for “broad, comprehensive development of military-technical cooperation.” According to him, the Russian Federation “has many allies, partners, like-minded people on different continents.”

“These are states that do not bend before the so-called hegemon. Their leaders show a real masculine character and do not bend,” the president described them. According to him, these countries have chosen a “sovereign and independent” path of development and “want to collectively resolve issues of global and regional security on the basis of international law.” The desired communication is based on mutual responsibility and consideration of each other’s interests, Putin is sure: all this allows us to protect the multipolarity of the world.

Among Russia’s allies, Putin listed the states of Latin America, Asia, and Africa. Given the historically strong and friendly ties, Russia is ready to offer them “the most modern types of weapons”: “from small arms to armored vehicles and artillery, combat aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles.” “Almost all of them have been used in real combat operations more than once,” he recalled.

The President noted that he sees great prospects in the training of foreign military personnel. According to him, Russia is interested in joint military exercises with other countries: “Thousands of military professionals from around the world are proud that the military universities and academies of our country have become their alma mater,” Putin said.

He clarified that Russia intends to “actively develop cooperation ties to create new types of weapons and equipment, work together on fair, equal terms.” Already now there is such experience within the framework of the CSTO and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, he recalled.

The President also spoke about the Russian military participating in the special military operation in Ukraine: “Our soldiers, together with the fighters of Donbass, are honorably fulfilling their duty, fighting for Russia, for peaceful life in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, clearly fulfilling all the assigned tasks.” They are “step by step,” as Putin said, “liberating the land of Donbass.”

Forum “Army-2022” opened in the Moscow region. It is attended by military delegations from 72 countries. Within the framework of the forum, 289 events will be held at various sites: at the facilities of the Patriot Park, the Alabino training ground, the Kubinka airfield, as well as in all military districts and in the Northern Fleet.

During his speech, Putin noted that an important part of the program is the holding of the International Anti-Fascist Congress. “Our duty to the memory of the millions of victims of the Second World War is to respond harshly to attempts to falsify history, to counteract the spread of any form of neo-Nazism, Russophobia and racism,” concluded he.
