Vladimir Putin won 72.3% of the votes in the Russian presidential elections abroad, according to data from the state automated system “Elections”. His candidacy was supported by 275,249 people. Vladislav Davankov (“New People”) took second place in the voting abroad with 16.65% (63,388 people).
The candidate from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Nikolai Kharitonov received 2.22% of the votes (8445 people), the candidate from the LPDP Leonid Slutsky – 1.97% (7495). The overseas vote, which took place in 288 polling stations in 144 countries, involved 383,553 voters. 26,147 ballots were declared invalid.
The presidential elections in Russia took place over three days, from March 15 to 17. Based on the results of processing 100% of the protocols, Vladimir Putin (self-nominated) received 87.28% of the votes, Nikolai Kharitonov – 4.31%, Vladislav Davankov – 3.85%, Leonid Slutsky – 3.20%.
