Vladimir Putin discussed values ​​with schoolchildren during an open lesson on Knowledge Day

Russian President Vladimir Putin held an open lesson “Talk about the important” at the Senezh educational center. The lesson was attended by 30 schoolchildren with outstanding academic achievements, as well as winners of international olympiads and competitions.

The President called Knowledge Day “kind and one of the most beloved” holidays in the country along with the New Year. It is associated with his expectations of a miracle, renewal, discoveries, new friends, as well as knowledge. “There is probably no such person who, in one way or another, would not be connected with the events of September 1. This is such a really kind, nationwide holiday, associated, among other things, with new steps in the development of the country and the individual,” Putin added.

The first stage in education, the president said, is connected with the family. It is at this stage of life that a person develops an interest in learning and gaining knowledge. At the same time, Putin noted that now in Russia there is no project or competition in which representatives of different generations of the family would take part.

“We would really like to show how the family develops, how knowledge is passed on from generation to generation, how our traditional family values ​​are passed on from generation to generation, what is the importance of the family in our society and in maintaining our traditional values, on which our entire state is based” , – Putin explained, adding that from September 4 it will be possible to apply for participation in such projects.

“This, along with the knowledge that you get at school, at universities, at institutes, will help young people to realize themselves in life,” he concluded.

Putin also talked to talented schoolchildren from the regions, most of whom have entered the 11th grade. One of them was 11-grader Ruslan Sharko from St. Petersburg. He told the President about how he learned his family history and created a family tree. The student proposed to develop an album for the genealogy, so that any family could fill it in and pass it on from generation to generation. The President supported his idea and shared the details of the correspondence of his relatives. He spoke about a line from his grandfather’s letter, where he “gives an order to his son at the front:” Beat these bastards! “In a letter, in an ordinary family letter. These are our values. How not to take care of them? They form the basis of our existence, our life,” Putin added.

Alena Vorlashova, an inventor and geologist from Perm, told Putin she wants to send oil destructor bacteria, which are used to clean up oil spills, to the ISS for an experiment. In response, the president advised her to approach such developments with caution. “They won’t eat us? It is very important that they do not eat us. Everything must be kept under control,” Putin said.

The President also answered a question from 15-year-old Karolina Umanskaya from the Zaporozhye region about how he sees the development of new regions of Russia over the next five years. According to the president, almost 2 trillion rubles. it is planned to allocate in the next 2.5 years only from federal sources for the development of these subjects. “We will do everything in parallel – we will seek to create the necessary conditions in terms of security, but we will not wait for the end of all activities in this area, but we will develop the areas that I spoke about,” the president added.

Earlier in the day, Putin and Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov launched the construction of three schools in the republic, which will be taught in Russian. The Russian President joined the event via video link. Putin also expressed the hope that the builders of new schools “will work efficiently and quickly” and that already in 2026 students will sit at their desks.
