Mr. Putin visited one of the new workshops of the plant and inspected four modernized Tu-160M strategic missile carriers (they can carry nuclear weapons). The President climbed into the cockpit of one of the planes and spent about 10 minutes there. Vladimir Putin proposed naming the missile carrier in honor of the first president of Tatarstan, Mintimer Shaimiev. “A man who has done a lot for the whole country, for all of Russia,” the president explained (quote from TASS).
The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, and the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik are expected to attend the Future Games. Also in Kazan today, February 21, in the morning already arrived President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. Vladimir Putin is expected to hold separate meetings with the leaders of all countries.
