CNN: The first group of Ukrainian Armed Forces pilots in the United States will complete training on F-16 fighters by summer
CNN, citing Erin Hannigan, a representative of the Arizona National Guard in the United States, reports that the first group of pilots of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU), consisting of four people, will complete training on F-16 fighters by the coming summer.
Hannigan claims that training of Ukrainian pilots began in mid-October last year. Pentagon information indicates that American combat aircraft can be mastered by pilots in a few months.
As a representative of the Arizona National Guard noted, the second group of Ukrainian pilots began training in January, and the third is still undergoing language training, which is necessary to use the new generation of American fighters. The US expects all three groups of Ukrainian Air Force pilots to complete training between May and August, but the exact timing depends directly on the progress of the training itself.
