“VKontakte” will offer developers of online games to earn on surveys

The Games in Contact platform introduces a new method of monetization for developers – professional surveys of players, Evgenia Zibareva, director of business development at VKontakte, told Vedomosti. They will complement the already existing options for earning on the platform – advertising and in-game sales, she said. But she did not disclose information about the size of the income of Games in Contact, noting only that the new direction “can increase the monetization turnover of the entire platform by 1-3%.”
It is planned that large advertisers and research organizations can become customers of online surveys, a representative of Games in Contact notes. The main part of the income, according to him, will go to developers, while the platform will retain a fixed commission for “development of its capabilities, promotion of games and support for social network projects.” The interlocutor did not disclose the size of the commission. It can be 5-15%, estimates the owner of the video game portals Kanobu and Igromania Gadzhi Makhtiev.
