Vitas lost a million dollars in China: spectators came with fake tickets

Russian singer Vitaly Grachev, better known by his stage name Vitas, lost a million dollars in income during a concert in China. As its producer Sergei Pudovkin explained in interview NSN, the audience came to the performance with fake tickets.
Vitas’ concert in Suzhou, China took place the day before. At the same time, more than seven thousand people gathered at the show of the Russian performer – more than the hall can accommodate.
Tickets, according to Pudovkin, were sold for an average of $150, and for VIP seats for $500. But it turned out that all the spectators came with fake tickets and, as a result, the lost profit amounted to a million dollars for one concert.
“Let the organizers and the relevant authorities deal with this, because this is a colossal amount of money,” said the producer. He added that in China such a crime is equivalent to counterfeiting money and expressed confidence that the fraudsters will be found.
“I feel very sorry for the people because they bought tickets for money, but on parallel sites. We will sort it out,” Pudovkin noted, adding that this is the first time he has encountered something like this on such a scale.
This is not the first time Vitas has given concerts in China. The first time he came here was back in 2006. Now he has 15 concerts planned in various cities of China.
