Vilfand: abnormally cold weather is approaching Russia

Frosts of up to 54 degrees are expected in some parts of Russia next week. This was stated by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand. In particular, he warned that it would be very cold in Yakutia. Khabarovsk Territory, Khanty-Mansiysk and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrugs will also freeze. There the thermometers will drop to minus 40 degrees.
The entire Central Federal District will experience abnormal frosts on December 5 and 6. Temperatures will drop 12 degrees below normal. It is expected that it will be up to minus 23. In the Arkhangelsk region, Komi and the Nenets Autonomous Okrug – up to minus 30.
The Urals, Volga region, Siberia and the Far East will also receive a dose of cold. However, not everywhere the temperature will differ from the statistical average for this period. Fortunately, the period of extreme cold will be short-lived.
