The Liberal Democratic Party opened a branch in the Luhansk People’s Republic. The event was attended by Viktor Bout, who was recently released from an American prison. Maxim Uvarov, a local deputy, has been appointed coordinator.
The decision to open a regional branch was made unanimously at a meeting that took place in the Hall of Columns in Lugansk. It was attended by about 200 people, including LDPR leader Leonid Slutsky, head of the Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs Yaroslav Nilov, State Duma deputy Alexei Didenko and others. Leonid Slutsky stated that “the majority of the LDPR’s supreme council” was present at the meeting. “In fact, it has been working for a long time, but today we are formalizing it – we are doing it officially,” he said (quoted from TASS).
Victor Bout exchanged on American basketball player Brittney Griner on December 8. Mr. Bout in 2012 was sentenced in the United States to 25 years in prison for illegal arms trafficking. December 12 Victor Bout entered in the LDPR.
