The Georgian Penitentiary Service published video footage of Mikheil Saakashvili from the Vivamed clinic, where he is undergoing treatment.
According to the department, the footage shows the state of the ex-president of Georgia, filmed on a video surveillance camera at different times.
Despite complaints and feeling unwell, Saakashvili, as it turned out, continues to rage, argue with the medical staff and resist the doctors.
Earlier, the former Georgian president went on a hunger strike after he was not allowed to take part in the trial remotely.
“I am aware of all the risks associated with my current state of health, but I will starve until I receive firm guarantees that I will at least be included in their trial via video link. There is a limit to all ridicule and humiliation,” – stated in the letter of the ex-president.
- Immediately after his arrest on October 1, 2021, Saakashvili went on a hunger strike, which he stopped only 50 days later. Since May 12, he has been treated at the civil clinic “Vivamed”.
- Doctors found in the ex-president’s body an increased content of heavy metals: mercury, barium, thallium, and also arsenic.
