Vice Mayor Yefimov announced the growth of electronic equipment production in Moscow

Between January and October 2022, Moscow produced 51.2% more electronic equipment and printed circuit boards compared to last year. The growth of production indicators was commented by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Yefimov.
“This year, the microelectronics industry received additional incentives for development. Thanks to the strategy to ensure technological sovereignty, the products of Moscow manufacturers began to be in high demand,” the Vice Mayor emphasized.
The mayor’s office also noted that since the beginning of the year, the volume of supplied electronic equipment has increased by 19.4%, reaching 29.3 billion rubles.
“The total number of participants in the association exceeded 40 enterprises and scientific and technical organizations. An entire ecosystem for the design, production and implementation of photonic technologies will be created on the basis of the cluster,” added Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.
Earlier, the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, noted the dynamics of growth in production volumes in a number of industries in Moscow. Photonic technologies are designed to increase the speed of data processing and transmission by 50–100 times. They are used in mobile phones, computer technology and LED lighting.
