Vice Mayor Yefimov announced an increase in the turnover of the paid services sector of the city by 11% in four months

As part of the XXVI SPIEF, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Yefimov said that the volume of paid services provided by capital enterprises to citizens in January-April 2023 amounted to 968.4 billion rubles.

“Moscow’s service sector is developing dynamically, demonstrating steady growth. Moscow entrepreneurs were able to quickly adapt to the new economic realities and fill the vacant niches,” Yefimov said.

He added that this segment of the economy has been steadily growing since the beginning of the year. Thus, the volume of paid services of Moscow enterprises for 4 months of the year added 11.1% in comparable prices, while the average figure for the country was 4.8%.

According to the Department of Economic Policy and Development of the Moscow Government, digital services show the greatest growth, their turnover in comparable prices increased by 77.5% to 61 billion rubles. The second place is occupied by institutions of culture and sports. For 4 months, their revenue grew by 28% – up to 43.6 billion rubles. The third place was taken by the hotel and tourism business. Enterprises in this area increased their turnover to 33.2 billion rubles, which is 26.4% more than in the same period last year.

In addition, turnover in the field of education increased: by 15.5%, to 84.7 billion rubles, and the volume of transport services increased by 13.1%, to 284.5 billion rubles.
