Vice Mayor Yefimov: about 35,000 Moscow families received new apartments under the renovation program

Since the beginning of the renovation program, about 35,000 Moscow families have become owners of new apartments.

“In the period from 2018 to 2022, the city signed about 35,000 contracts for new apartments with the participants in the renovation program. The families of the capital received housing in 218 new buildings in all districts of Moscow,” said Deputy Moscow Mayor for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Yefimov.

According to Maxim Gaman, Minister of the Government of Moscow, head of the DGI, the pace of the program’s implementation is constantly growing. For example, last year 16.3 thousand contracts were concluded, which is almost twice as many as in 2021. Then 8.2 thousand families became the owners of new housing. In 2020, 3.3 thousand contracts were signed.

Recall that the terms of the renovation program offer residents apartments in new buildings with improved finishes. In addition, the new housing is immediately equipped with lamps, plumbing and a stove. In the houses being built under the program, the first floors are non-residential, they will house shops, pharmacies, beauty salons and cafes.

Note that the other day, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin visited Golyanovo district and congratulated an elderly Muscovite on her housewarming, who became the 100,000th resident who began resettlement for renovation.

The renovation program was approved in August 2017. It includes 5175 houses, as a result, more than a million people will move to new housing.
