Deputies of the Krasnoyarsk City Council elected Vladislav Loginov (United Russia) as mayor. Since 2017, he worked as the first deputy head of the city, and from the beginning of August 2022, after the early resignation of the ex-mayor Sergei Eremin, he led Krasnoyarsk in the status of and. about. mayor.

Initially, 24 people applied for participation in the competition, then their number was reduced to 20. On September 8 and 9, the competition commission heard the programs of applicants and their answers to questions from members of the commission, after which they selected two candidates for participation in the final – Vladislav Loginov and the head of the administration of the Central district of Vadim Voitsekhovsky.

Today, Mr. Loginov presented his program to the deputies. Its central part was the preparation for the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk, which will be celebrated in 2028. Among the urban problems that need to be addressed, he named the construction of a metro, the modernization of urban infrastructure, the tightening of licensing rules for housing management companies to improve the quality of their work, etc.

Answering questions, Mr. Loginov promised to maintain continuity in the work of the city administration.

Vadim Voitsekhovsky, in turn, did not begin to state the program, but suggested that the deputies support Vyacheslav Loginov as a more competent manager.

Mr. Loginov’s candidacy was supported by 25 deputies out of 29 who received ballots. No one voted against. Representatives of the Communist Party faction, which advocates the return of direct elections of the mayor, did not take part in the voting. However, the communists promised to support the new mayor in solving city problems.
