Vice Mayor Efimov: Technopolis Moscow SEZ will start producing vaccines for animals

Animal vaccines will be produced at the Printers site of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ. The construction of a special plant of the Vetbiohim company has been completed there.
“Now the plant is carrying out commissioning. The full launch of the enterprise is scheduled for the second quarter of 2023. Its capacity will make it possible to annually produce several tens of millions of doses of vaccines, which will help provide the Russian market with demanded goods and will contribute to the development of import substitution in the field of veterinary medicine. The company has invested 1.6 billion rubles in production,” said Deputy Moscow Mayor for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Yefimov.
The new plant meets all the norms of the modern international standard for pharmaceutical production. For example, it assumes the presence of clean rooms with modern equipment.
According to Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Investment and Industrial Policy Department, the area of the new enterprise exceeds 5.5 thousand square meters. About 200 highly qualified specialists will be able to find a job there.
The company “Vetbiohim” specializes in the production of immunoprophylactic drugs, in the treatment and diagnosis of parasitic and infectious diseases of agricultural and small domestic animals. Now the company produces 37 vaccines, 4 sera, as well as 60 types of test systems for diagnostics.
