Vice Mayor Efimov: supplies of food products produced in Moscow have increased

In the first 9 months of this year, food companies increased their supplies by 4.9% compared to the same period in 2021.
According to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, the city is experiencing an increase in demand for goods from local producers, as capital enterprises have replaced imports.
“For 9 months of the year, the companies of the capital supplied goods to customers for more than 405 billion rubles. This growth was achieved, among other things, due to an increase in the shipment of dairy products, which grew by 19% and amounted to 44 billion rubles. The volume of beverage supplies reached 53 billion rubles, which is 11.5% more than in January-September 2021,” said Deputy Moscow Mayor for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Yefimov.
In general, food production in the city from January to September increased by 1.6% compared to the same period last year.
It should be noted that more than 200 food industry enterprises operate in the capital, more than 25% of which produce bakery products.
According to Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow, about 70 factories in the city produce bread and flour. These products are in demand in all regions. In total, the capital’s bakers baked 335 thousand tons of products. This is 5.4% higher than in 2021 over the same period.
