“Very scary”: residents of Shebekino told about the shelling

Mother and daughter from Shebekino, Belgorod region, told in interview NEWS.ru that massive shelling of the settlement continues from the night. The last two days in the village shelling was heard remotely, but on the night of June 1, the situation became unbearable, shared the details of the interlocutor of the publication. Currently, the women are at the Belgorod Arena stadium, where a temporary accommodation center (TDP) has been organized for citizens who were evacuated from dangerous areas.
Residents of Shebekino, who have a one-room apartment on the fifth floor, complained that they were not warned in advance about the evacuation.
“Now it is very scary. Today we started at three o’clock, and still does not end. In a one-room apartment, windows, doors, everything is shaking, ”said the women who have lived in Shebekino since 1986. Mother and daughter say they want to return to the city and to their apartment.
Earlier, the media reported that a five-story house caught fire in Shebekino, Belgorod Region, after being hit by a shell. The head of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said that the Ukrainian army fired shells from the Grad MLRS on the settlement, and the dormitory building caught fire.
Before that, it became known that in Shebekino, a passenger bus with people who were evacuated from dangerous areas came under fire from the armed forces of Ukraine. Local authorities denied this information.
